Vent: My entire sample skirt just fell apart at the seams during a fitting

It happened yesterday afternoon while my model was walking across the studio... I heard this awful ripping sound. I used a new lightweight silk blend and my usual stitch length, but the thread tension was way off. Now I have to re-cut the whole piece before our client meeting on Friday. Has anyone else had a fabric just give out like that?

I used to think the sound was just annoying, but a few years back I tore a whole seam on my favorite jacket. That long, slow rip made me realize it's the sound of something good being ruined. Now it actually makes me wince, like I'm feeling the loss myself. It's a small thing that can really ruin your whole mood.
