Vent: A client told me my color palettes were 'too safe' and boring

Honestly, she said 'I'd never wear that, it looks like hospital scrubs' and it made me rethink everything. Now I force myself to add one wild color, like neon coral, to every collection draft. Anyone else get feedback that made you totally change a core part of your design process?

Nah, sometimes safe is good though. Not every client wants to stand out like a traffic cone.

Stand out like a traffic cone" is a great way to put it. I used to push for bold on every project, but seeing a safe design actually make a client happy changed my mind.
