My sewing machine needle snapped right before a deadline
It happened yesterday while I was finishing a sample for a client. I had to run to the fabric store for a new pack of size 80/12 needles and re-thread everything. Anyone have a favorite brand for heavy silk that's less likely to break?

Needles break, it's just part of sewing. A different brand probably won't fix anything. Silk is a delicate fabric, so the problem might be your machine tension or the speed you were going. Sometimes you just hit a thick seam or a pin and that's all it takes.
