Hot take: CAD patterns beat hand drafting for speed every time
Spent 3 weeks hand drafting a jacket pattern. So tedious. Made a ton of errors. A buddy showed me his CAD workflow. Took him 2 days to design the same thing. He could tweak seam allowances in seconds. I was erasing and redrawing lines. Never going back to paper. Anyone else switch and notice the time difference?

Wow, 3 weeks vs 2 days sounds like a pretty extreme comparison. Are you sure it wasn't more about you learning the ropes on paper while your buddy already knew the software inside out?
