Finally got my hands on a decent industrial sewing machine
Dropped about $800 on a used Juki and it's already saved my project. The old domestic machine kept jamming on heavy canvas, but this thing powers right through. Anyone have tips for sourcing heavy-duty zippers now?

Where are you located? I've had good luck with local upholstery supply shops for that kind of hardware. They often sell to the public and have the tough stuff. Online is hit or miss with quality.

Wait, local shops actually sell to the public? @michaelcoleman, that's a game changer. I always assumed those places only dealt with big furniture companies. I've been burning through cheap online rivets that snap after a few months on my patio chairs. The last batch bent just trying to set them. Finding a local spot with real, heavy-duty stuff would save me so much hassle and wasted money.
