Just had the most drawn-out shoeing session of my life
The mare kept yanking her foot back like it was hot. I mean, idk, maybe she thought I was tickling her or something.

Oh man, tell me about it. I swear my last one thought I was trying to steal her foot forever. I must have looked like a complete idiot, doing that little hop-step shuffle to keep up with her. In my experience, sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself or you'll go crazy.

Was she like that the whole time or did she just get worse as it went on? Sometimes they start fine but get fed up. Did you try changing how you were holding her leg at all? I always wonder if it's a balance thing or if something actually hurts them.
