Can we talk about the time a pony ate my deli order?
Honestly, I was at a ranch last month trimming hooves on a stubborn Shetland. Tbh, I grabbed a huge roast beef sandwich from a local spot and left it wrapped on a fence post. Ngl, I turned my back for two seconds to grab a rasp, and this little pony somehow nudged the post and snatched the whole thing. He had foil and mayo all over his muzzle, and I just stood there in shock. The owner saw it and burst out laughing, saying she'd never seen a horse with such a taste for deli meat. She felt so bad that she invited me in for a proper meal later, which was really nice. Now I keep my food locked in the truck, no exceptions, because you never know what these clever animals will do.
