I actually hate how everyone loves those dark navy houses now

Last week I drove through a new development in Charlotte and every third house was painted that deep navy blue with white trim, and it just felt so gloomy and forced to me... Has anyone else gotten tired of this trend or am I the only one who thinks it ages a house fast?

Is it really that serious though? Paint colors come and go, that navy stuff has been popular for like five minutes in the grand scheme of things. Give it a few years and everyone will be onto the next thing anyway.

Five minutes" is forever if you're stuck repainting every trendy room every two years.

And that's kind of the whole thing though, right? Like even if it's a five minute trend you're still the one living in it for those five minutes looking at a color you might already be sick of.
