Finally got my garage siding looking right after 3 tries

Last month I redid the vinyl siding on the gable end and it was all wavy, third time I used a different nail spacing and actually leveled each piece. Anybody else deal with wavy siding or just me?

Start noticing it everywhere now. Siding, drywall, even cheap furniture veneer. The whole trick is just getting the backing right and not rushing the fasteners. People skip leveling or space nails too far apart and end up with that wobbly look. It's like making a bed - if you don't smooth the sheets first, the wrinkles show through no matter how nice the comforter is. Same with anything you put on a wall or floor, prep work beats everything else. You figured it out. That's the hard lesson most people learn after doing it wrong first.

Yeah @elizabeth_chen is right, it's the same as countertops, prep work always saves you.
