My lash lift went totally wonky mid-procedure

I was doing a lash lift on a client in Detroit last Tuesday and the glue lifted off the shield halfway through. Had to wipe everything down and start over with a different brand of glue, which actually saved the look. Has anyone else had a shield slip like that mid-service?

Honestly, maybe the humidity in Detroit that day was messing with the adhesive.

Was the new glue you switched to a completely different formula, or just a different brand with the same active ingredients? Could be that the first brand just wasn't bonding right with that specific client's lash texture or any leftover products on her lashes. I've seen similar issues pop up from the tiniest residue of makeup remover or even natural oils on the lashes.
