Just found out my steam timer was way off
Had a client last Thursday with really stubborn congestion. My usual 10 minute steam wasn't cutting it. She mentioned her old esthetician in Tampa always did 12-15 minutes for her skin type. Checked my machine's manual. Turns out the digital timer was set wrong from the factory. It was running short by almost 2 minutes. Fixed it now. Anyone else ever have equipment calibration issues throw off their routine?

My old microcurrent machine had the intensity levels backwards. Level one was actually the strongest setting. I burned a client's chin before I figured it out. Took me three weird reactions to realize the manual was wrong. Honestly, calibration stuff is the worst kind of problem to have.

Actually, a backwards manual is a good test for a real pro. @the_diana, you should have known something was off the first time, not the third. That kind of problem separates the careful people from the rest.

Ever had a machine that just lied to you like that? @the_diana, I had a temperature gauge that was off by 20 degrees once. Burned a whole batch of product before I caught it. Calibration is brutal.
