I had to choose between a $300 LED mask and a $50 one for my home care routine.

I went with the cheaper one and after 2 months of daily use, my skin texture is actually smoother, so has anyone found a real difference with the high-end ones?

Honestly, the expensive ones use better diodes that actually penetrate deeper, so you're just getting surface-level results.

My dermatologist told me last month that diode quality is only part of it. She said the real difference is in the calibration and cooling systems, which stop skin damage. The cheaper devices often can't keep a steady output, so the light isn't as strong by the time it hits the follicle. That's why you might see hair grow back faster with a budget model. It's not just about surface level, it's about the machine keeping its power level through the whole zap.
