Had a client come in with a rash that looked like a bad reaction, but it was something totally different
This lady came in for a facial last Tuesday, and her cheeks were all red and bumpy. I was about to cancel and send her to a doctor, thinking it was a product allergy. She told me she'd been using a new laundry detergent for about a week. I realized it was probably contact dermatitis from her pillowcase, not our products. We did a super gentle cleanse and a cool compress instead, and she was so relieved we figured it out. Has anyone else had a client mistake a skin issue from home for a service problem?

Yeah, the laundry detergent thing is so common. I always ask about new products at home now before we even start. Saved my butt a few times.

Oh man, my buddy washed his whole load with dish soap once. The bubbles were insane.

Just toss a capful of white vinegar in the rinse cycle and it kills all the suds... saved me more than once when I grabbed the wrong bottle. The smell rinses out completely too so no worries there. Learned that trick from an old coworker who used to work at a laundromat.
