Ugh, last-minute adds are the worst. It's not like you can magically make space appear. Totally get why the vibes were awkward.

Tried offering a small discount on their next booking. It shifted the focus to a future yes, which usually smooths things over.

Yeah, I've found being clear about the reason helps a lot. Just state the policy simply, that you're fully booked, and offer to schedule them for another time. It takes the personal sting out of the no.
