A client's reaction to a new facial tool last month really surprised me

I was working with a regular who has very sensitive, reactive skin, and I decided to try a gentle gua sha technique with a rose quartz stone. I explained each step as I went, focusing on lymphatic drainage. When she sat up, she looked in the mirror and said, 'My face hasn't looked this calm in years.' It was a simple moment, but it showed me how much the right pressure and clear communication can change the whole experience. Has anyone else had a client respond that strongly to adding a manual tool into their treatment?

My client cried happy tears after her first jade roller session.

Cry from a jade roller? That seems like a really strong reaction to a cold stone. I've used them before and they just feel nice and cool. Maybe there was something else going on in that session.

Honestly saw the same thing happen at a spa day my friend dragged me to. The esthetician said it's not about the cold, it's about the slow, careful pressure releasing tension people didn't even know they were holding. Makes sense when you think about it, all that stress just sitting in your jaw and forehead.
