Stuck for 4 hours on a phantom door lock fault in a 20-year-old hydraulic unit. The limit switch was fine, but the cam adjustment was a quarter-turn off.

That cam adjustment being a quarter-turn off is a classic head-scratcher. In my experience, it's usually something that small that throws the whole timing sequence off.

Been there. Spent a whole afternoon tracing wires only to find the actuator arm was just barely out of spec.
