My old foreman told me to never trust a car's floor indicator when doing a pit inspection, and a 2003 Otis in Cincinnati proved him right last month.
The car was showing '1' but the pit was flooded because the leveling tape had snapped, so I almost stepped into a foot of water thinking I was on the ground floor.
