I doubted the new digital tension meter until it saved a job in Chicago

I was working on a high-rise traction unit and my old analog gauge kept giving me jumpy readings on the governor rope tension. The super was getting impatient, so I borrowed a coworker's Digi-Tech T-2000 just to shut him up, and it gave me a rock steady 250 lbs reading on the first try. Has anyone else had a tool they didn't trust at first completely change their mind?

Man, I know that feeling all too well... you get so used to the old way that anything new just seems like a gimmick. I fought against a laser level for way too long, swore my trusty bubble was all I needed. Then one day on a tricky site it just saved my bacon and I felt like a total fool. It's funny how the right tool at the right moment can make you a believer.

Wait, didn't laser levels come out way before smart watches were a thing?

Ever try those smart watches? I was the same as you @evana71, but mine finally got me off the couch.
