Was convinced all electronics can be fixed with just a multimeter until I found a breakdown in the IPC repair standards showing 43% of failures need an oscilloscope
Found that stat in the IPC-7711B manual I picked up from the Seattle chapter meeting last month, has anyone else noticed shops skipping scopes and just guessing on capacitor ripple these days?

That 43% stat is wild, I read an old EEVblog post where someone argued most shops skip scopes to save cash but end up wasting time guessing. Have you seen that in person too?
