How I traced a weird buzzing sound to a single capacitor

I had this old amp making a buzz that drove me nuts. After checking connections, I got my scope out and found the noise coming from one cap on the board. Swapped it for a new one and the buzz was gone. Anyone else deal with noisy caps in audio gear? What's your go-to method for tracking down sounds like that?

Capacitors get blamed for everything. I usually find it's a ground loop problem long before I start swapping parts.

I swapped three capacitors last week before I even checked the grounding. I'm definitely part of the problem Anna describes. I need to slow down and chase the real issue first.
