Hired a drywall guy off Kijiji last month and now I'm crying into my coffee
Found this guy who said he'd do my basement for $700 cash. Showed up two hours late with a rusty knife and no drop cloths. Took him three days to hang 12 sheets and the seams look like mountain ranges. Now I'm sanding for the second weekend straight. Has anyone else had a nightmare with a random handyman from online?

Bought a used drill off a guy once who said it "just needed a new battery." Turned out the whole motor was held together with electrical tape and dreams. At least your drywall guy showed up with something sharp, even if it was a rusty knife.

Joel, what did you actually DO with that drill after you figured out the real problem? I bet you either threw it in the trash or spent twice the money fixing it out of spite. Did you ever get the guy to take it back or did you just eat the loss?
