Snapped my last 6" drywall knife on a ceiling corner bead at 4pm Friday

...and thats exactly why I switched to using a drywall router for inside corners on ceilings. Not saying you gotta run out and buy one but once you factor in the time and frustration of patching up after a knife snap, its worth looking into. You can get a cheap one for like $30 that'll pay for itself after one or two ceiling jobs.

Huh, I always figured those routers were just for guys doing new construction, not for patching repairs. But you know what, you got a point about the knife snapping thing, that happened to me twice last month on a ceiling job and it was a real pain to fix. I might actually grab one this week and see if it saves me the headache.

Ngl those cheap routers chatter like crazy and leave fuzzy edges that take more sanding than a knife cut ever would. Plus you gotta haul around another tool and deal with bits snapping or burning out mid job which is its own headache. A sharp knife and a steady hand still beat a buzzy router for tight patch work if you ask me.
