Hot take: I chose a 4.5 inch taping knife over a 6 inch for a whole ceiling job last month

Everyone said I was nuts, but the smaller blade gave me way more control on those tricky angles. Anyone else ever go against the standard tool size for a big area?

Wendy saying she'd lose her mind is exactly the point lol. People get so stuck on the "right" tool for the job they forget what actually works for their hands. I see this all the time, like insisting you need a giant stand mixer to make cookie dough when a wooden spoon gives you better feel. Sometimes the standard way is just the loudest way, not the best way.

A whole ceiling with a 4.5 inch knife? That's wild, I would have lost my mind!

Is it really that big of a deal though? It's just a ceiling, not like you're doing surgery with the thing. People get too worked up over small stuff.
