Should I pick abstract geometry or nature photography for my desktop this month?
I found two SICK wallpapers on Dribbble last week - one is a neon geometric fractal and the other is a misty forest shot from Behance. I went with the nature shot but now my icons blend into the trees and I'm wondering if I made the wrong call. What do you guys prioritize when you have to choose between style and readability?

Dark icons against a misty background is always a nightmare, sometimes you have to sacrifice pure style for function. Those neon fractals usually give your icons more contrast since they have defined dark and light zones to work with. Maybe try the geometry one for a few days and see if the readability tradeoff feels worth it.

Did you try flipping the geometry one to light mode? I had the same issue with my old setup. Switched to a white background with dark icons and it fixed everything. Way easier on my eyes too.
