Our town's wetland project flipped my opinion on eco-dredges

The city started a dredge job in the marsh behind my neighborhood last spring. I used to think eco-dredges were just for show, but how they kept the habitat intact got me to change my mind. What local projects have changed your view on dredging methods?

Did you get to see the before and after of the project up close? I was totally in the same boat, always figured those methods were more about good press than anything real. Watching how fast the plants and birds came back to a dredged spot near my old place... it kinda flipped a switch for me. It's cool to see something that usually wrecks a place actually help it heal instead.

But how much does that actually fix the bigger picture, you know? Feels like a drop in the bucket sometimes.
