Been running sand pump for 8 years and just found out I was doing it wrong
Read a study from the Army Corps of Engineers about cutterhead speed vs pump efficiency. Turns out running the cutter at full throttle actually chokes the suction line on most river jobs. I dropped my RPMs by 20% last week on a Mississippi job and pulled 15% more material per hour. Anyone else ever test different speeds with a flow meter?

Not sure I buy that, been running the same way for years with good results.

35 years of running 50 miles a week here, zero knee issues. What's your weekly mileage and have you actually tested your form at a running clinic with video analysis?
