A guy with 30 years experience told me I was running my cutterhead too slow

I was chewing through sand just fine on a job in Baton Rouge, but this old timer watched me for five minutes and said I was leaving an uneven cut. I bumped up the RPMs by 15 percent and the material came out way more consistent. Has anyone else had a veteran call out something you thought was working OK?
