The time I ignored a senior drafter's advice on a Phoenix project
He said to always dimension from a single origin point, but that caused a huge clash when the structural grid was off by 2mm. Anyone else run into problems from sticking too rigidly to a 'standard' method?

My last boss was a total stickler for that single origin rule too. It caused a massive rework when a whole floor's worth of casework was off. Sometimes the textbook method just doesn't fit the real world mess of a job site.

Yeah, I learned to check the grid first every single time.

Honestly @samj27, that's the only way to do it. I fried a brand new power supply once because I plugged it into a bad outlet. Now I keep a cheap outlet tester in my bag. It saves so much time chasing ghosts when the real problem is just no power at the wall.
