Am I the only one who spent 4 hours fixing a single dimension line in AutoCAD?

I had a detail drawing for a retaining wall in Denver last week where one dimension line kept snapping to the wrong reference point no matter what I did... turns out it was a frozen layer I forgot to thaw. Has anyone else burned way too much time on something dumb like a hidden layer or a stuck snap setting?

Spent three hours once chasing a dimension that kept jumping to 0.00. Found out my dynamic input was on and fighting my manual entry. Feels like the software just wants to waste your time sometimes. Would be nice if there was a button that just yelled "check your layers" before you go down that rabbit hole. AutoCAD loves those hidden little traps that look like your fault but really aren't.

Honestly, I see it a little different on the "hidden little traps" thing. Tbh, dynamic input is pretty clear about what it does in the settings, and it's saved me way more time than it's cost me when I bother to learn it. Ngl, I think part of the grind is just accepting that software rewards you for knowing its quirks, not for expecting it to baby you.
