What do you miss about the slower set time? That extra window used to let you fix a bad clamp or adjust alignment. Fast glue now feels like it forces you to get everything perfect on the first try.

Oh wow, I always thought faster glue was better cause it saved time. But your point about fixing mistakes makes total sense. Now I see why slower set time is actually useful.

Yeah, saw something in a woodworking mag about this. They were talking about old school hide glue, where you could literally reheat a joint to fix it. Modern fast glue doesn't give you that working time, which is rough if a clamp slips.
