Just realized my bathroom shelf project turned into a water show

I was putting up a shelf and drilled straight into a pipe. Water shot out and drenched me just as my mom walked in. She laughed and asked if I was adding a new fountain feature. Now I always use a pipe detector before drilling into walls. What funny mishaps have you had with home projects?

My stud finder swore the spot was clear but I hit an electrical line and blew the circuit for half the house. Sparks flew out of the wall like a tiny fireworks show. Still have a scorch mark as a reminder to never trust that little liar again.
