Hit 500 board feet of reclaimed wood in my garage last weekend and honestly didn't see it coming

Bought a house in Austin about two years ago with a detached garage that had this weird loft space. Started grabbing pallets and old fence boards from neighborhood cleanup days just to mess around. Last Saturday I was organizing and decided to stack it all up and measure. 500 board feet. Never planned to collect that much. Most of it is still rough cut and needs planing. Got three shelves that are basically just leaning towers of wood right now. Anyone else end up with way more material than they meant to stash?

Under the workbench" is legit, that's where all my offcuts end up too.

Nah, I used to be one of those people who kept all their offcuts in a pile on the floor thinking Id get to them later lol. But after tripping over a board for the third time last week I finally caved and shoved everything under my workbench. Now I just grab what I need from under there without making a mess. Its like having a secret stash thats actually useful.
