Wish someone told me about color space earlier

Been posting my digital paintings online for about 2 years now. Kept wondering why my pieces looked washed out on Instagram compared to how they looked in Photoshop. Finally figured out I had been working in RGB for web but exporting in sRGB wrong. Lost like 6 months of posts looking dull. Anyone else have to re-export all their old work once they figured this out?

Tried painting my truck with house paint once. Had to redo it the hard way.

I used to think paint was paint and it didn't matter much what kind you used. But then I helped a neighbor repaint his shed with porch paint meant for wood. It peeled like crazy after one winter. That really changed my mind. These days I buy the right stuff for the job, even if it costs more.
