Took me 6 months to figure out my tablet pressure sensitivity was turned down to 10%

I kept wondering why my brush strokes looked so stiff compared to other artists. Turns out the driver default reset after an update, and I never checked. Has anyone else had a subtle settings change mess with their work for way too long?

That's such a frustrating feeling when you realize it was something SO simple. These tiny default resets happen more often than people realize, not just with art gear but with everything. Phones, routers, car settings - something silently changes and you spend weeks blaming yourself for something being "off." The worst part is that you trust your tools enough that you never second guess them until you've been miserable for months. Glad you finally caught it though, that feeling of relief mixed with annoyance is unforgettable.

A lot of what you said is spot on, but the car settings thing isn't quite like drawing tablets or phones. Car stuff usually shouts at you with a warning light or a weird sound before it becomes a problem. With art gear, you can be making bad art for six months without a single pop-up saying "Hey, your pen is broken." The silence is what makes it so tricky, your tools just let you keep on failing quietly until you finally snap and check every setting manually.
