Switched sides on digital art watermarking after a client stole my work

I used to think watermarks looked tacky and unprofessional, but after some guy on Fiverr ripped off my dragon illustration last month, I'm all in now. Anyone else had a change of heart after getting burned like that?

I feel you, that's rough man. Nothing like getting burned to make you rethink the whole watermark thing. What kind of watermark did you end up going with?

Man, I've been there too and it really does suck. It's like you learn the hard way that people will take whatever they can get away with. I ended up going with a big, semi-transparent watermark right in the middle of the image. It's annoying for sure, but at least it's harder to crop out or clone stamp. Did you try putting yours in the corner or hidden somewhere?
