Swapped from Wacom to an iPad for sketching and it's night and day
I've been using a Wacom Intuos for like 6 years now and always thought it was fine. Last month my buddy let me borrow his iPad Pro with Procreate for a weekend and I couldn't believe how much faster I was. The screen response was way more natural, no more looking up at my monitor while drawing on the tablet. I knocked out three full character sketches in one afternoon where normally that would take me two days. The pressure sensitivity felt smoother too, like my brush strokes actually matched what I had in my head. I still use the Wacom for bigger projects cause the screen size is good, but for quick concept art the iPad just kills it. Has anyone else made this switch and ended up sticking with one over the other?

My Intuos is still in the drawer from 2019. Oops.

Oh man, I totally feel you on this. I had the exact same "wait, this is how it's supposed to feel?" moment when I borrowed a friend's iPad Pro for a weekend. The way the pen just follows your hand on the screen instead of that weird disconnect is something you don't realize you're missing until you try it. I still keep my old Wacom plugged in for when I need to do precise line work on a big monitor, but honestly the iPad has become my daily driver for almost everything now. That pressure sensitivity thing you mentioned is huge, I never got my strokes looking right on the Wacom no matter how much I fiddled with the settings.
