Spent $300 on a custom brush pack that looked awful on my actual screen

I bought this fancy brush set online (the previews looked amazing on my phone) for a big project last month. Turns out the brushes were made for a much higher screen resolution than my old drawing tablet uses. They came out all pixelated and blurry, which I only saw after I'd already paid and downloaded them. I tried to make them work for about three hours before giving up and just using my basic default brushes. Has anyone else had this happen with digital art tools looking different on the device you actually create with?

Ever wonder if these brush makers even test their products on older hardware? It's like they design everything for the latest iPad Pro and forget people still use Wacom tablets from five years ago. I had a texture brush that looked like fine grit sandpaper in the ad but turned into big blurry blobs on my screen. Makes you question who these tools are really for.

Saw my friend's brush turn to mush on her old tablet, @morgan.cameron.

Pretty much this. They test on whatever's newest and call it a day. The rest of us are stuck with "optimized for Procreate 5" brushes that run like garbage on anything older than a year.
