Showerthought: I saw a digital art piece in a coffee shop that made me rethink my own work
I was at The Daily Grind on 5th Street yesterday and they had this huge screen showing a looping animation of a forest that changed with the time of day. The artist's name was 'PixelPine' and the detail in the sunset shift, where every leaf seemed to glow, was just crazy. It made me realize my own art feels a bit flat because I never play with light that way. Has anyone else seen a piece in public that totally changed how you approach your own projects?

Ever try recreating that light effect with a single color layer set to "overlay" in your software? I messed with that for weeks after seeing a neon sign reflected in a wet street. Start by picking one light source in your next piece and just pushing its brightness way up.

Weeks" on one light effect? It's just a picture, not brain surgery...

Yeah, but sometimes the tiny details are what make a piece really pop!
