My digital art of the updated bedroom finally doesn't look awful

Took me way too long to get the lighting right. Kind of proud of it, though.

Last year, I spent three days trying to get the sunset glow right in a landscape painting. Every time I adjusted the layers, the colors looked wrong. I watched a bunch of tutorials and even took photos of real sunsets for reference. It was so annoying because I knew what I wanted but couldn't make it happen. When the lighting finally clicked, the whole piece came together instantly. That moment made all the failed attempts worth it, and I totally get why you're proud.

Remember struggling with window light versus lamp light in that same piece. Had to make the sunlight feel warm and distant while the bedside lamp created this close, yellow pool on the sheets. Mixing those two temperatures without making it look muddy took forever. Getting that contrast right is what makes a room feel real and lived-in.

Wait, isn't sunlight actually a cooler color temperature than lamp light when it comes through a window? I always thought daylight from a window is more blue-white and a lamp is the warm orange-yellow. You might have those two mixed up. Getting the feel of distance for the window light is spot on though, that's the hard part. Making the lamp light feel close and small without fighting the window light is such a pain. How did you finally balance the two without one washing out the other?
