Just realized my art station lighting is way too dim for color accuracy
I moved my desk near a window in my apartment here in Portland last month and thought natural light would help, but now my digital paintings look totally different on my phone versus my monitor. It turns out the sunlight shifts my screen's white balance and I've been missing subtle tones for weeks. Has anyone here found a good desk lamp or monitor calibration trick that works with mixed lighting?

YES that exact thing happened to me with landscape art, sheer curtains saved me too.

That sunlight shifts my screen's white balance" is exactly what happened to me actually... I was painting a portrait and kept making the skin too warm and didn't realize until I printed it out. My solution was kinda dumb but I just put up some sheer curtains and that helped a bit.
