Just blew $300 on a 'pro' brush pack that feels like drawing with a stick.
I got talked into buying the full set of those new digital brushes everyone was hyping, but after a week of trying to make them work, the blending is awful and the pressure curve feels completely off compared to my old free ones. Has anyone found a good brush set for painterly styles that doesn't cost a fortune?

It's just brushes, not a car. You can probably fix the pressure curve in the settings.

My Wacom tablet cost more than my first car. Pressure curve tweaks never fixed the weird lag on those default brushes.

I spent like $80 on a single "master" brush pack last year and the texture looks like wet cement when I try to blend. I mean, @the_linda has a point about messing with settings, but sometimes the brushes are just bad from the start. I keep going back to a few free ones I found years ago that just work right away. It feels like a lot of these expensive packs are just fancy marketing.
