Finally finished a piece I started 3 years ago in a coffee shop in Portland

I dug up an old WIP from 2021 last month, a portrait of my friend's dog. Spent like 10 hours over the last week redoing the fur texture and lighting in Procreate. Honestly feels good to close that tab for good, anyone else got old projects haunting your hard drive?

I read somewhere that finishing old projects actually rewires your brain to be more creative. That portrait sounds awesome, glad you got it done.

Oh man tell me about it! I had this half-finished sketch of my dog sitting in a drawer for like 2 years and finally forced myself to finish it last month. Once I got going it kinda unlocked something in my brain and I ended up cranking out 3 more drawings that week. It really is like your brain remembers how good it feels to complete stuff and just keeps going.
