Finally caved and bought a Huion Kamvas 13 tablet for $250 last month
I was tired of using my old Wacom Intuos and wanted to try a screen tablet. The setup was a bit of a pain, but once I got it working, drawing directly on the screen changed my whole workflow. My line art got cleaner almost right away because I could see exactly where my pen was going. I've probably saved a couple hours a week just from not having to undo as many stray marks. For anyone else thinking about making the jump from a regular tablet, was the learning curve worth it for you too?

Switching was the best art choice I ever made.

I swore my old Intuos was fine, but drawing on the Kamvas screen just feels right.

Honestly though, is it that big a deal? My old tablet still works fine. It just feels like a different way to draw, not a whole new world.
