Chose a $40 tablet pen over a $200 screen tablet for drawing - worked out fine
I had $60 saved up and needed a new way to draw. The big screen tablet was tempting but I picked a basic pen tablet from a local shop in Austin. Three weeks later I still prefer it because my hand stays steady on the desk instead of hovering. Anyone else skip the fancy gear and stick with something simple?

The screen tablet actually forces you to hover your hand too, so you weren't missing out on desk stability there. Those $40 pen tablets are surprisingly durable, I've seen some last years longer than the expensive ones. Maybe the trick is just finding what works for your wrist and going with it.
