Changed my mind about posting WIP shots after a brutal critique last month

I used to think sharing half-finished sketches was a waste because nobody could see my vision yet. Then a senior artist on the forum pointed out my composition was crumpled before I spent 20 hours on shading, and that saved my whole piece. Has anyone else had a harsh critique actually improve their workflow?

Nothing like paying 20 hours of therapy bills to learn you were drawing on a crooked table.

Oh man, that's a good one. It's amazing how long we'll blame ourselves for things that were just setup to fail from the start.
