Bought into the hype about those fancy drawing tablets, total waste of $400

Picked up a Cintiq clone last month from a brand I saw all over Instagram. The screen had this weird yellow tint out of the box and the pen lagged during a 3 hour portrait session. Anyone else get burned by a tablet that looked way better in the ads?

The "looked way better in the ads" part gets me. Seems like half the stuff we buy now is just a photoshopped experiment that we fund.

@alicebarnes I get where you're coming from but I actually don't think it's always just photoshop... sometimes the lighting and styling in ads just makes things look a little different than they do in real life. Like a burger ad with a food stylist spending an hour on it vs what you get in a bag. But I've also had the opposite happen where stuff looked way better in person than the ad. So it goes both ways honestly. Companies are trying to sell you something so of course they'll show the best version. That's just how it works.
