Accidentally left my tablet stylus in a coffee cup for 10 minutes last week
Was at a cafe near my place in Brooklyn last Tuesday, working on a portrait sketch for a showcase submission. Got distracted by a friend calling my name, and I guess I just dropped my stylus right into my latte without thinking. Took me like 5 minutes to realize it was sitting in there soaking up coffee like a weird straw. The tip was all sticky and the pressure sensitivity went wonky for a day after I dried it off. Has anyone else ruined a tool with a hot drink by accident?

Did you end up having to replace the whole nib, or just clean it? I've been paranoid about mine ever since I had a close call with a puddle of tea on my desk last month. The pressure sensitivity glitch sounds exactly like what I got when I tried to sketch while the tip was still damp. Honestly impressed yours recovered without needing any parts swapped out.

Haha oh no, that's a rough one. I did something pretty similar with my graphics tablet pen last year, except it was a soda can that I knocked over onto my desk. The whole tip was sticky for like a week and it kept registering phantom clicks every time I tried to draw a straight line. Honestly I think hot coffee is worse though, the steam probably seeped into the electronics more. Glad yours worked itself out after a day, mine took a full reset and a lot of cleaning with rubbing alcohol to get back to normal. Hope your portrait submission went okay despite the whole stylus disaster.
