PSA: That $400 injector pop tester from Amazon is straight junk
Bought one of those Chinese pop testers off Amazon last month to save some cash. Worked fine for about 8 tests then the gauge started reading 200 psi low and the needle was bouncing all over. Took it apart and the internal spring was already shot, just cheap pot metal inside. Anyone else had better luck with a specific brand or should I just bite the bullet on a Snap-on?

$400 for a paperweight with a gauge attached, ouch. I had a buddy who bought the same one and said the needle started dancing like it was having a seizure after ten tests, no joke. He ended up just using it as a doorstop because the return shipping cost more than the dang thing. I heard Harbor Freight has one that's maybe 50 bucks and lasts longer than a month, or you could just DIY a tester with a grease gun and a gauge like the old timers do. Snap-on probably costs your firstborn but at least it won't crap out mid-injector rebuild. Still, paying $400 for junk that lies to you feels like getting scammed by a vending machine.

Man I feel you on that, that hurts just reading it. My cousin dropped $350 on one of those digital gauges and the screen just went black after he used it on a Duramax, totally dead. He tried calling customer support and they basically told him to kick rocks because he didn't register the warranty in the first 30 days or something stupid like that. It's like these companies know you're gonna be frustrated and they bank on you just giving up. Makes you wonder if they even test the stuff before they box it up, you know?
