Old timer told me my injector timing was off by a hair and I ignored him for months.
Had a guy with 40 years in the trade point out my Cummins was idling rough after a rebuild last spring. He said the timing needed a half degree adjustment but I figured he was just being picky. Finally tried his method last week and the thing runs smoother than ever why do we fight advice that costs nothing?

Who here's ever been told a fix is simple but you just had to see for yourself? Spent three days chasing a misfire on my old Ford before my neighbor told me it was a loose ground strap he spotted in two seconds.

Nah, I actually see it the other way. Sometimes you gotta beat your head against the wall to really understand the problem, even if it costs you a few days. That neighbor saved you time but you wouldnt have learned as much about how that system works if he just told you up front.
