I went with a reman injector over a new one - saved $600 and it's been fine

Everyone I work with swears by buying new injectors for a rebuild, but I put a reman unit in my 7.3 Powerstroke six months ago and it's running smooth. Has anyone else had good luck with reman parts or did I just get lucky?

Man I've been wondering the same thing. Did you do a compression test on that cylinder before you dropped the reman in? I feel like that's the big gamble with used injectors if your injector cups are worn or you've got a valve issue it's not gonna matter how new the injector is, you're chasing pressure problems anyway.

Ngl @rowanp15, "chasing pressure problems anyway" is basically the mechanic's version of running on a hamster wheel. Hope you didn't blow a valve cover gasket laughing about it later.
